Amira Amin is Chief Operating Officer (“COO”) for Magnetar’s Liquid Strategies. In this role, she helps oversee the middle and back office functions that support the Systematic Investing and Healthcare businesses and is responsible for managing the evaluation and onboarding of new liquid businesses, strategies and products. Amira also works with Magnetar’s Office of the COO on an array of strategic projects for the firm spanning both operational and investment-related matters. This includes helping to identify opportunities to enhance organizational efficiencies and managing the development and implementation of a variety of firm-wide and business-specific initiatives.
Since her start with Magnetar’s Fund Accounting group in 2007, Amira has expanded her expertise, working across operational, business development and investment-related functions. This includes serving as Magnetar’s Deputy COO of Business Operations and Finance for several years, and prior to transitioning to the Office of the COO in late 2016, she was the Deputy COO of Business Development.
Amira has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Northwestern University.
