Chris Procaccini oversees Magnetar’s Healthcare business, which employs a low net long/short approach to investing in healthcare-related equity securities and emphasizes fundamental analysis and process-oriented diligence.
Before his tenure at Magnetar, Chris was Managing Director - Portfolio Manager, Healthcare and Consumer Staples at Hutchin Hill Portfolio Management. From 2014 - 2016 he was Managing Director - Head of North American Long Short Equities at Highbridge Capital Management. Prior to that, Chris served as Portfolio Manager – Healthcare at SAC Capital Advisors for three years. Chris began his investing career in 2000 at Och-Ziff Capital Management Group where he was Managing Director – Head of Healthcare and Consumer/Retail Groups.
Chris earned a Bachelor of Science in Commerce from the University of Virginia. He is also a CPA, a CFA charter holder and has obtained his FRM certification.
