Jessica Damrat is Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”) of the firm’s Management Company and oversees all aspects of the firm’s finances, including the Management Company Accounting, Expense Management and Analysis, and Financial Planning and Analysis groups. In addition to her responsibilities as CFO, Jessica works closely with Magnetar’s Chief Operating Officer on various strategic priorities of the firm, including implementation of new investment strategies, facilitating new fund and product launches, and establishing internal firm policy and controls. Jessica has also been instrumental in developing and helping manage Magnetar’s technology and Artificial Intelligence investing initiative.
In 2010, Jessica began her career at Magnetar on the Fund Accounting team. Throughout her tenure at the firm, she has advanced through several diverse roles, taking on a wide range of responsibilities across the finance, strategic operations and investing teams, including serving as a Deputy COO.
Jessica earned a Master of Accounting degree from DePaul University’s Kellstadt School of Business as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Michigan State University. She is a CPA and CFA charterholder.
