Michael Henriques is a Senior Portfolio Manager at Magnetar. He has three decades of experience in fixed income, structured securities and real estate. Within the firm’s Alternative Credit and Fixed Income business, Mike focuses primarily on specialty finance, mortgage and real estate, and structured securities investments. In addition, Mike sits on the firm’s Investment, Management and New Business and Ethics Committees.
Prior to joining Magnetar in 2007, Michael was Managing Director of the Special Situations Group at Deutsche Bank, where he helped build a proprietary investing business within the firm’s structured finance area. Before his time at Deutsche Bank, Michael spent more than ten years at Goldman Sachs & Co, where he started in 1992 as a structured finance analyst, then joined the Special Situations Group before becoming Vice President of the Whole Loan Desk and ultimately co-heading the CDO and Synthetic ABS group.
Michael earned a Master in Business Administration degree from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Princeton University.
